A superb vintage Hardy “Fred Bull Pike” rod, made in England by The House of Hardy.

The rod is clearly marked “Fred Bull Pike”, together with the classic House of Hardy – Made in England transfer and 335cm, which equates to approximately 11ft.

A very attractive traditional Hardy pike rod, finished in a rich brown with distinctive green whippings, cork handle and alloy screw reel fitting. It is a two-piece rod and retains its original period appearance.

The rod is in excellent condition for its age, as can be seen from the photographs. The blank presents extremely well, the fittings and guides appear very good, the cork handle is clean for its age, and the original transfers and handwritten-style Fred Bull Pike markings remain particularly attractive.

Also included is the original Hardy cloth rod bag, bearing the classic Hardy / Harris & Sheldon branding.

A lovely example of a much less commonly encountered vintage Hardy coarse/pike rod and an excellent addition to a Hardy collection, while still being a very usable traditional fishing rod.
